Application
Collar studs are used to provide a spacer between the parent metal and the part secured on threaded extension.
Calculating the Correct Stud Length to Order
- Determine the after weld (AW) length required.
- For stud base diameters add to after weld length
Up through 9/16″ – 1/8″
From 5/8″ through 7/8″ – 3/16″
From 1″ through 1-1/4″ – 1/4″
How to Order
To order, please refer to the drawing above and specify the following: Collar Stud: CK, Material, Base Diameter (C), Before weld length to the top of the collar (L), Thread Size (D), Thread Length (B)
Example: CK MS – .33 x 1/2 w/ 3/8-16 x 5/8
