Reduced base studs are designed for small clearance holes and where close run-down of nuts is required.

Calculating the Correct Stud Length to Order

  1. Determine the after weld (AW) length required.
  2. For stud base diameters add to after weld length
    Up through 9/16″ – 1/8″
    From 5/8″ through 7/8″ – 3/16″
    From 1″ through 1-1/4″ – 1/4″

To order, please refer to the drawing above and specify the following: Reduced Base: RB, Material, Diameter (C), Thread Size (D), Length Before Weld (L)
